  1. Heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic until brown.
  3. Stir in all the rest except the fava beans.
  4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for ½ hour.
  5. Carefully incorporate the fava beans.
  6. Remove from the heat and let it sit there to let the flavors blend.
