Serves: 6 to 8
Ingredients
- 2 quarts butter lettuce or other salad greens
- 1/4 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed preferred
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- dash white pepper
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Directions
1.Gently wash and dry leaf lettuce. This is a tender lettuce.
2.Tear lettuce into bite-size pieces.
3.Place in refrigerator to chill.
4.Whisk together lemon juice, sugar, salt and pepper.
5.Whisk in heavy cream, a bit at a time, until creamy.
6.Drizzle over lettuce leaves.
7.Toss gently.
8.Serve immediately.
10.Serves 6 to 8.
12.Note: This salad sings spring and tastes so good after eating winter veggies.
