  1. Sift dry ingredients together.
  2. Whip egg.
  3. Add milk and melted butter to it.
  4. Add liquids to dry ingredients. Beat batter vigorously.
  5. Drop by tablespoons into hot fat. Shallow fry until golden brown.

Turn over once. Place on kitchen paper to drain.

  1. Sprinkle with granulated sugar .
