  1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
  2. Place it in the top of a double boiler over simmering water.
  3. Stir occasionally until melted.
  4. Add the hot chocolate mix and sugar.
  5. Stir until completely melted.
  6. Remove from heat and slowly add ½ cup of milk until smooth.
  7. Cool to room temperature.
  8. In a blender, place the remaining cup of milk, the room-temperature chocolate mixture and the ice.
  9. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri.
  10. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
