Strawberry loves entertaining her friends at her gazebo garden house, particularly since it has a grill. And grills aren't just for savory foods! They also work for delicious desserts, like this banana split made with grilled cinnamon-sugar bananas topped with chocolate syrup, condensed milk, strawberry ice cream, roasted peanuts, and whipped cream.

- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1 cup 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar, sifted
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 large just-ripe bananas, unpeeled, halved horizontally
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 4 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, chopped
- 1 cup whipped cream
Directions[]
- To make Ice Cream: Purée strawberries with sugar in a food processor.
- Using a chilled bowl and beaters, whip cream to stiff peaks.
- Fold in strawberry purée.
- Chill purée mixture at least 6 hours up to overnight.
- Churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions.
- To make Bananas: Heat charcoal grill, gas grill, or grill pan over high heat.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Brush Bananas with canola oil, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Grill Bananas, cut-side down, 3 minutes.
- Flip and grill 5 more minutes.
- To assemble: Peel Bananas, cut in half crosswise, then place four quarters each in two ice cream bowls.
- Drizzle with chocolate syrup and condensed milk and top with peanuts, a generous scoop of Ice Cream, and whipped cream.
- Serve.
