Ingredients[]
- 1 large lemon
- ⅓ cup fresh gingerroot
- 1 quart brandy or whiskey
Directions[]
- Grate lemon peel and gingerroot.
- Mix in brandy or whiskey and let stand for 10 days.
- Shake once a day.
- Strain through fine muslin, filter paper or cotton ball.
- Seal the liquid tightly and store in a cool place.
- The extract will keep almost indefinitely.
