Mushroom soup

  1. Clean, wash and chop mushrooms.
  2. Pour boiling water over them and drain.
  3. Melt fat, add flour and brown lightly.
  4. Add garlic, onion and parsley and brown.
  5. Add mushrooms, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Add potatoes and potato liquid, bay leaf, vinegar and seasoning.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes.
  8. Before serving you may add 1 or 2 tablespoons of sour cream if you wish.
  9. Top with parsley.
