About Grapes

The grapes or the genus vitis are part of Vitaceae family are contains a variety of species. The main important species of grapes are raisins, currants and sultanas. The grapes can be black, blue, golden, green, purple-red or white. Grapes are usually cultivated, they grow in clusters of six to three hundreds or they can grow in the wild. Raisins, currants and sultanas are dried grapes which are generally consumed raw or used for preparing cakes or jams. The seeds inside the fruit are recognized to contain procyanidolic oligomers which improve blood circulation and strengthen blood vessels. Because of its numerous benefits grape seeds are commercialized in different forms like liquid, capsules or tablets.
