  1. Spread butter on one side of each piece of bread.
  2. Spread mustard on un-buttered side.
  3. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on mustard-coated sides of 4 slices of bread.
  4. Cover with remaining bread.
  5. Place sandwiches in a heavy nonstick pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Cook 2 minutes per side, or until lightly toasted.
  7. Serve hot.
