A staple at my house for Halloween night. This recipe is so simple and I always have everything I need on hand. I never use canned Sloppy Joe sauce anymore! - Jessica Kraus, Delaware, OH
Ingredients[]
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 c. catsup
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 T. brown sugar, packed
- 1 T. cider vinegar
- 1 t. Worcestershire sauce
- 6 hamburger buns, split
Directions[]
- Brown beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat; drain.
- Stir in remaining ingredients except buns; reduce heat to medium-low.
- Simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- To serve, spoon onto buns.
Yield: Makes 6 servings
