Harost balls have been a part of Moroccan culture for centuries. They are traditionally a part of the passover feast in Morocco.

- 2 cups pitted dates
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup dark raisins
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1-2 tablespoons Zinfandel wine

Put the dates, raisins and walnuts in a food blender for a minute or so, until the contents are finely chopped and begin to stick together
Add the wine and stir until the mixture is of a sticky texture.
Use a spoon to divide the mixture into small sections and put onto a sheet of wax paper.
Dampen your hands so the mixture doesn't stick and roll each mound into a ball.
Put into the refrigerator on the sheet for at least 3 hours before serving.
This recipe should serve 4.
