Homemade Amaretto

2 cups sugar 2 cups vodka 2 cups brandy 3 to 4 t. almond extract

In medium pan, mix sugar and 2 cups water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in vodka, brandy and almond extract. Transfer to tightly covered decanters or pint or quart jars. Makes 6 cups. Source: My Old Recipes
