Also known as "lesco". If you are going to put sausage into it, reduce salt. Lesco can be frozen successfully.

  1. Heat lard, add sliced onion, and cook over very low heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Add green pepper slices and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes, sugar, salt and paprika.
  4. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes longer.
  5. Adjust sugar and salt to taste.
