Ingredients[]
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups pure maple syrup
- 3 cups cored, unpeeled tart Apples, thinly sliced
Directions[]
- Simmer butter and syrup in a heavy saucepan.
- Cook very gently so that the slices do not break up for approximately 1-1/2 hours or until Apples are transparent and liquid is syrupy.
- Serve warm over pancakes or ice cream.
