Jambon d' Ardennes (or Ardennes ham) is an air-dried ham similar to prosciutto that comes from the Ardennes woods in Belgium. These hams are manually dry-salted with sea salt, juniper berries, thyme, and coriander, smoked over beech and oak till dark brown, and then long-aged to acquire full-bodied flavor and soft texture. Every ham has a yellow-numbered leaden seal as a guarantee of quality and origin
