- 1 cup butter
- 2 spoon Orange blossom water (zahr)
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 kg halkoom (turkish delight)
- 1 spoon baking powder
- Jaljalaan (sesame seeds)
- Ghirfa (cinimmon)
- Heat the butter and add flour, baking powder, zahr and jaljalaan- Cool then- Roll into long strips(6 inches) about as wide as a little finger. indent the strip. Roll the turkish delight in to a 5 inch strip, very thin as this will be placed in the indent of the dough. Close the indentover the turkish delight. Form into a ring shape about the size of doughnut . Turn on the oven (300 deg) . Put the pan in the heated oven for 20 minutes. This are cooked at the low heat as the turkish delight melts and can break the dough. When they look very slightly golden, take out of oven - cool - this last in a closed container a good long while. To Serve - sprinkle with powedered sugar and place on plate.
