  1. Wash lentils, drain and set aside until required.
  2. Wash rice, drain then place in a medium saucepan and add lentils.
  3. Pour the boiling water, olive oil, salt and give a quick stir.
  4. Cover pan and boil for 10 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes give a quick stir then cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
