I Lemon Poppyseed Butter Cake CDKitchen

 3 cups flour

2 cups sugar 1 cup butter, softened 1/4 cup poppy seeds 1 cup buttermilk 4 eggs 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon lemon flavoring 4 teaspoons grated lemon zest (yellow part of peel)

Directions: Heat oven to 325 degrees. Place rack in middle of oven. Grease a 12-inch bundt pan and dust with flour.

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Beat with an electric mixer at low speed, scraping bowl often, until all ingredients are moistened.

Beat at high speed for 1 to 2 minutes or until batter is smooth. Pour into pan and bake 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few crumbs. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Flip out of pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
