A Philippine favorite to the classic vegetable lumpia, this mushroom wrap is made with real mushrooms to look appetizing and fried to a hot, savory crisp.
Ingredients[]
- 2 - 3 cups of mushrooms (shiitake, enoki, and canned)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 20 - 40 lumpia wrappers
Directions[]
For the mushroom mixture[]
- Mix mushrooms with sesame oil and black pepper.
- Refrigerate the mushroom mixture for 1 out of 3 days.
For preparation with the mushroom mixture[]
- Spoon the mushroom mixture to a lumpia wrapper.
- Fold the edges of the lumpia wrapper filled with mushrooms.
- Deep-fry the mushroom lumpia in a fresh pan with oil.
- Serve hot and plain with rice or noodles or with other dishes.
