  1. Heat oil in a small skillet.
  2. Saute onions slowly over moderately low heat.
  3. Stir frequently until nicely browned.
  4. Combine onions with rest of ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.
  5. Store in a jar until needed.
  6. Bring to room temperature before serving.
