Monaka Wafer Shells can be stuffed with red bean paste, ice cream, fruits, chestnut paste, purple potato mash, or anything else your heart desires. Most Monaka recipes don't provide a monaka SHELL recipe, but this one does.

Ingredient[]

For ten pieces of Monaka Wafer shells:

  • White ball flour 3 tbsp corn starch 1 tbsp water 2,5 tbsp. Salad oil Dosage Rice (heavy stone replacement) Dosage

Directions[]

  1. Mix everything into a ball and knead.
  2. Divide into 10 equal parts.
  3. Preheat oven to 230 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Grease the place where you want to sandwich one pair of dough with salad oil.
  5. Sandwich it between the oven-safe food molds (silicone mold cups? fun shapes are OK) and press it tightly.
  6. Pour a small amount of rice into the silicone molds' cavities, so the Monaka does not become misshapen.
  7. Bake in the oven for 11 minutes and peel immediately.
