  1. Grease a 12-cup bundt pan and coat with sugar.
  2. Cream shortening and sugar; add unbeaten eggs, one at a time beating well after each.
  3. Add flour all at once and beat well.
  4. Add vanilla.
  5. Bake in the bundt pan at 325°F for 1 hour or until done.
  6. Cool at least 10 minutes.
  7. Then turn upside down on a cake plate.
  8. This cake is very good served with ice cream or fresh fruit or both.
