When the British hostesses served prawn cocktails in 1980s, the Estonian hostesses had to settle for the non-prawn versions. One of them is mushroom salad.

- 1 cup of pickled mushrooms
- ½ cup of grated cheese
- ½ cup apples (cubed)
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 table spoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon dill
