A traditional Burmese savory dish with a slight kick of spiciness that goes perfectly with steaming hot rice.


-          Fresh water prawns      240g

-          Tomato             10g

-          Onion                           60g

-          Garlic                            5g

Myanmar Prawn curry-2-

-          Ginger                          5g

-          Chili powder                  5g

-          Cooking Oil                   20ml

-          Fish Sauce                    10ml

-          Capsicum                     5g

-          Turmeric powder           5g

-          Steamed Rice               100g


1. Marinate the prawns with ginger, fish sauce, garlic and turmeric powder.

2. Sauté the onion, garlic, turmeric powder on a low heat till it browns and then add the chili powder.

3. When a fragrant aroma appears, add the marinated prawns and cook for a few minutes.

3. Put in a serving bowl and serve with steamed rice.
