The decadent chocolate flavour in these small squares is sure to satisfy. Prepare and chill these bites a few hours before dinner, and present them on a platter for dessert.
Ingredients[]
- 2/3 cup (150 ml) whipping cream
- 7 dark chocolate bars (3 1/2 oz, 100 g, each), chopped
- 2 tbsp. (30 ml) hazelnut liqueur
- 1/2 tsp. (2 ml) grated orange zest
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped flaked hazelnuts (fillberts), toasted
- 1/4 tsp. (1 ml) grated orange zest
Directions[]
- Line 9 x 9 inch (23 x 23 cm) pan with greased foil, leaving 1 inch (2.5 cm) overhang on 2 sides.
- Set aside.
- Heat cream in medium saucepan on medium until very hot and bubbles form around edge of saucepan.
- Remove from heat.
- Add next 3 ingredients.
- Stir until chocolate is melted.
- Pour into prepared pan.
- Combine hazelnuts and second amount of orange zest in small bowl.
- Sprinkle over top.
- Chill for 2 to 3 hours until firm.
- Holding foil, remove chocolate mixture from pan.
Cuts into 64 squares
