Coating your knife blade with cooking spray lets you cut these into neat squares. Omit the raisins if your kids don't like them.
Ingredients[]
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light-colored corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
- 3 cups oven-toasted rice cereal
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 3/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
- Cooking spray
Directions[]
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla in a small saucepan over medium heat, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat, and add peanut butter, stirring until smooth.
- Combine cereal, marshmallows, raisins, and peanuts in a large bowl; add peanut butter mixture, stirring well.
- Press cereal mixture evenly into bottom of an 8-inch square baking dish coated with cooking spray, and cool.
