This natural, peanut-butter glaze is made and packed with vanilla extract and real icing sugar and is great with other desserts, as it always keeps a smooth, creamy aroma with the peanut butter to help maintain its sweet, brown consistency.
- ¼ cup margarine
- ¼ cup peanut butter, regular, smooth, crunchy, or fat-free/reduced fat only
- 1-3 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. salt
- 2 ½ cups icing sugar
- 5-6 tbsp. fresh milk
- Cream the margarine, peanut butter, vanilla and salt.
- Add icing sugar alternately with milk; just beat until creamy.
- Reserve the homemade peanut butter glaze in the refrigerator or freezer but scoop or spoon this into the fresh container. Use on cakes, pancakes, or other desserts.
