  1. Trim edges from bread slices.
  2. Reserve crusts.
  3. Cut each slice into four strips; put strips and edges on cookie sheet.
  4. Bake in 250 °F.
  5. Oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Cool.
  7. Roll roasted edges to a fine crumb.
  8. Melt butter; add peanut butter.
  9. Dip toasted strips in hot mixture; roll in powdered sugar.
  10. Cool; dip again in hot mix and roll in crumbs.
  11. Snack sticks will keep indefinitely in an airtight container.
