Makes 4 servings

Ingredients[]

  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups bottled barbecue sauce
  • 1 12-ounce package frankfurters, sliced diagonally into 1-inch pieces

Directions[]

  1. Combine rice, water, salt and butter in 2- to 3-quart saucepan with tight-fitting lid.
  2. Bring to a boil; stir once or twice.
  3. Lower heat, cover, and cook 15 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  4. Meanwhile, combine barbecue sauce and franks.
  5. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. Serve over fluffy rice.
