An exceptionally high-quality alternative to butter is made only with pesto and used as a dip. Black pepper and oregano rarely work for this, too, while color, effort, and quality are worth them.

Ingredients Edit

  • 2 tablespoons store-bought pesto
  • ½ cup butter, softened

Directions Edit

  1. Stir ingredients into softened butter.
  2. Cover and chill at least 8 hours.
  3. Serve on chicken breasts, baked potatoes, steamed vegetables, or pasta. Reserve the sauce-based butter in the refrigerator.
