This is a great way to use your plums when there are lots of them around.

- Bring wine, sugar, lemon and orange slices to the boil.
- Wash the plum thoroughly and add to the syrup.
- Simmer for 10 minutes and leave to cool in the syrup for a few hours.
- Serve with whipped cream or crème fraîche.
