Port Wine Marinade

1/2 cup port wine 1 T. chopped fresh thyme leaves 3 T. soy sauce 1/2 t. pepper 1/2 t. hot sauce 1 clove garlic, halved 1 bay leaf

In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir well. Cover and chill. Makes about 3/4 cup marinade. Ice down a couple of rib eyes alongside a bottle of this marinade for the beef lovers on your list.
