This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Pryor estate in Grapevine, Texas in 1996.

  1. Combine flour, soda, sugar and spices.
  2. Combine egg, shortening, pumpkin and milk then add to flour mixture beating until smooth.
  3. Bake on hot lightly greased griddle turning only once.
  4. Serve hot with butter and syrup or powdered sugar.
