Moori, mumra, murmuras or kurmura. Harvested rice is dried in the husk until there is no moisture, then it is dropped into an Indian wok that is filled half way with hot sand. The grains explode out of the husk like popcorn and puff up. Don't worry it is also made commercially with out the sand!
