  • Often called red spinach because of the earthy spinach flavor.
  • Similar to amaranth, but has dark red leaves and light-red stems.

Instructions Edit

  • Mix red saag curries into plain rice turning it a pretty pink color.
  • To cook cut off the lower tough stems, then wash and chop it coarsley.
  • It can also be pureed and cooked with spices, or stewed with meats
