  1. Combine sugar, tapioca, salt and nutmeg and stir together real well.
  2. Add strawberries and rhubarb and stir just enough to coat rhubarb and strawberries.
  3. Let stand about twenty minutes.
  4. Make pastry for two crust nine-inch pie.
  5. Spoon into pie shell.
  6. Dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
  7. Top with lattice crust and bake at 400°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
