  1. Combine rice, onions, pimentos, basil, salt and pepper; mix well.
  2. Spoon into greased shallow 2-quart baking dish.
  3. Cover and bake at 375 °F for 15 to 20 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.
  4. Sprinkle with bacon; spoon sour cream around edge, if desired.
  5. Bake uncovered 5 minutes.
