Another variation on breakfast porridge.

  1. Bring water to a boil and add rice.
  2. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Add milk and butter, cover and cook until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Add sugar to taste.
