Smooth as silk, yet thick and fudgy - a taste of this sauce is like eating candy.

  1. Melt butter and chocolate in an heavy saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Stir in sugar, evaporated milk, corn syrup, and salt; cook over medium heat, stirring gently, 5 minutes or just until sugar dissolves and sauce is smooth.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
  4. Cool to room temperature.
  5. Pour into gift jars.
  6. Cover and chill up to 1 month.
  7. Serve warm.

Yield: 2 cups
