  1. Blend sugar and cider until smooth.

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Coat baking sheets with vegetable spray.
  3. In large bowl, beat sugar and butter spread on medium speed of electric mixer until creamy.
  4. Beat in cider and egg product.
  5. Blend in flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
  6. Stir in apples and almonds.
  7. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from sheets and cool on wire racks.
  10. Frost with cider glaze.
