Bottled real bacon bits add smoky flavor without the hassle of frying. Serve over rice or with corn bread.

  1. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon bacon bits and garlic; sauté 1 minute.
  3. Add shrimp; sauté 3 minutes.
  4. Add mushrooms; cook 1 minute or until mushrooms are tender and shrimp is done, stirring frequently.
  5. Stir in onions, salt, and hot sauce; remove from heat.
  6. Stir in parsley and lemon juice.
  7. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon bacon bits.

Yield: 4 servings (serving size: about 1 cup)
