Renowned for its succulent texture, palatable flavour and the use of fresh ingredients, Salmon Tartare is a dish that is loved by many!The use of fresh salmon and vegetables in their raw state gives the dish a unique taste and gives a satisfying crunch!
Ingredients[]
- 250g skinless salmon fillet (deboned)
- 1/4 cup seeded cucumber, finely diced
- 1 T lime juice
- 2 T Sriracha sauce
- 10g minced chives
- 10g minced cilantro
- 1.5 tsp grapeseed or vegetable oil
- 10g minced, seeded, Jalapeño pepper
- 10g minced shallot
- 5g minced peeled fresh ginger
- 1/4 tsp lime zest
- 1/2 tsp Asian sesame oil
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Potato chips or tortilla chips
- 10g Black-Truffles finely sliced (optional)
Directions[]
- Keep the salmon on a plate and put it into a freezer for 20 minutes or until thoroughly chilled.
- Slice the fillet to make 1/8 inches cubes.
- Add the salmon cubes to a medium-sized bowl along with the rest of the ingredients and mix delicately but thoroughly till everything is combined.
- Add the tartare along with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mix to a bowl, place the thinly sliced truffles on top (optional), and serve with chips.
