Serve brunch to a crows with these tasty apple cinnamon waffles - they're prepared in a baking dish and popped in the oven the next morning. The kids will love to help get this ready the night before company comes!
Ingredients[]
- 9 frozen waffles, halved
- 19 oz. (540 ml) can of apple pie filling
- 4 large eggs, fork-beaten
- 2 cups (500 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) maple (or maple-flavoured) syrup
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) ground cinnamon
Directions[]
- Spoon pie filling onto each waffle half.
- Arrange waffles, pie filling-side up, slightly overlapping, in greased 9 x 13 inch (23 x 33 cm) baking dish.
- Combine next 4 ingredients in medium bowl.
- Pour over waffles.
- Chill, covered, overnight.
- Bake, uncovered, in 350°F (175°C) oven for about 50 minutes until set and lightly browned.
