  1. Julienne the cabbage and rub some salt in.
  2. Melt the lard and then set the cabbage to fry, stirring continuously and adding a little water every now and then.
  3. When the cabbage is almost done, add pepper, peeled and thinly sliced tomatoes, mix well and simmer until there is almost no liquid left.
  4. Serve as a side dish.
