Texas Tea Cakes You don't even have to live in Texas to make these biscuits. They are a light and flaky tea cake, that would go well with fruit preserves or clotted cream. INGREDIENTS: 4 cups flour 2 cups sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup shortening 2 eggs 1/2 cup buttermilk 2 tsp vanilla PREPARATION: Preheat oven to 375F. Mix all ingredients into a firm dough. Roll out, and use a cookie cutter to make circles. Bake until brown and golden
