Tocino del Cielo

Description

Bacon from heaven.

Ingredients

• 3 cups sugar
• 1 cup water
• 6 egg yolks
• 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

1. Boil sugar and water for about 15 minutes until a light syrup is formed.
2. Let cool.
3. Beat egg yolks and add to light syrup, include vanilla.
4. Follow instructions for flan (see recipe for caramel mold).
5. Using a double broiler, put in oven for 1 hour at 350°F (175°C) in caramel mold like flan.
