Fried Oat Cakes
Ingredients[]
- 1 tbsp rolled oats
- 2 tbsp of milk
- pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- bacon fat
Directions[]
- In a large bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients; stir in the milk.
- Using your hands, form batter into small cake-sized patties; fry in bacon fat, turning once to brown evenly.
- The cakes go well with strips of crisp bacon.
