Swiss cheese and blue cheese comprise the dynamic duo atop crisp Melba crackers. Bits of garlic, dried tomatoes, toasted pecans, and green onion kick up the flavor.

  1. Place crackers in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  2. Rub cut sides of halved garlic clove over tops of crackers.
  3. Combine tomatoes and next 5 ingredients in a bowl, stirring until blended.
  4. Gently stir in green onions.
  5. Let stand 15 minutes for cheese to soften and to allow flavors to blend.
  6. Spread 1 heaping teaspoon cheese evenly over each cracker.
  7. Bake at 400° for 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot.

Yield: 4 dozen
