Rich Tomato Bread makes a tasty multipurpose loaf. Try toasting some to create an extraordinary sandwich. You can round out the menu with baked chips and fresh fruit.
Ingredients[]
- 1/4 cup low-fat mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 8 (1/2-inch-thick) slices Rich Tomato Bread
- 1 (1-ounc3) slice provolone cheese
- 1 ounce roasted deli turkey
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1 (1/8-inch-thick) red onion slice
- 2 (1/8-inch-thick) tomato slices
Directions[]
- Combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, and garlic clove.
- Toast bread.
- Top each of 4 bread slices with cheese, turkey, lettuce, red onion, and tomato.
- Spread each of remaining 4 bread slices with about 1 tablespoon mayonnaise mixture; place on top of tomato slices.
