  1. Squeeze out excess water from grated cabbage.
  2. Mix grated carrot and cornflour into this.
  3. Rub this thoroughly to form a dough.
  4. Shape into small balls and deep fry in medium hot oil till light brown.
  5. Heat 2 tbsps. of oil in a wok.
  6. Add chopped green chilies, chopped garlic and spring onions.
  7. Cook for about half a minute.
  8. Add water or stock.
  9. add salt, pepper powder, Ajinomoto, Sugar and soy sauce.
  10. Bring it to a boil.
  11. Thicken with cornflour dissolved in cold water.
